Quick Valentines Sensory Bin Ideas
Don’t you just love a quick & easy sensory bin you can create in 5 minutes? These Valentines Sensory Bin Ideas are just that!
My Valentines Sensory Bin Ideas use things you probably have in your home or classroom already. This makes them budget-friendly and quick to prepare!

Sensory bins are great for developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, problem-solving, learning new vocabulary and practicing language skills. They also provide an opportunity to practice everyday life skills, such as pouring and using utensils. In addition, they can also be great for role play and building social skills when played with with others.

Treat-Making Valentines Sensory Bin
I love how visually appealing this sensory bin is. I just want to get stuck in and start playing right away! This one was also super quick to make.
I simply dyed the rice the night before. It took me about 5 minutes to do, and then I left it out to dry overnight. If you’ve not dyed rice before, take a look at How to Dye Rice for Sensory Play.
Then the next morning, I tipped out my rice into rows. It’s hard to tell since my pink rice came out a little dark, but I have red, pink, and white rice here. Of course you can just use one color, or mix them all together (since that is how it ends up after the first 2 minutes of play), but I do think it looks nicer to begin when set out in rows.
Next, I added pink, white, and red pom poms to the sensory bin, along with some cupcake cases, spoons, and a heart-shaped ice try.

Valentines Cup Cake Sensory Bin
This Valentines Sensory bin was the quickest to create!
I simply tipped rice into my sensory bin until it covered the bottom. Then I popped in a cupcake tray with cupcake cases in it.
Next I added a heart-shaped bowl of red, pink, and white pom poms and a bowl of heart-shaped glittery, puffy stickers to be used as decorations. I popped a few spoons in there too for scooping and mixing and it was ready to go!

Feed the Love Monsters Sensory Bin
These little Love Monsters are so cute!
This sensory bin is a great way for our little ones to practice fine motor skills and early counting skills as they count spoonful’s of food into their monsters’ mouths.

Valentines Day Mixing Sensory Bin
This is a fun Valentines Sensory Bin for the little scientist out there who loves experimenting with mixing!
To create this one, I filled a few different sized measuring jugs with dyed rice. One has red rice, one has white, and one has pink (although I put a little too much dye in so it’s super dark pink!)
I then added little mixing sticks. These are just coffee stirrers with glittery heart-shaped puffy stickers stuck back to back on the top end.
Next I popped in a heart-shaped bowl full of pom poms in reds, pinks, and white with a little measuring spoon, an empty bowl and a few extra measuring jugs for them to mix their creations in.
