What are the different ways you can play?

There are a number of different ways that you can use these free printables to teach your little ones. I love when one resource can do multiple things! You can laminate them to make them reusable too!

Firstly, you could hide the penguin letters around your home or classroom for your kids to find and tick off on their Penguin Scavenger Hunt Checklist. This is a great way to teach your kids to match up their lower case letters (on the penguins) with their upper case letters (on the sheet).

A second way to play, is to hide all the letters in a sensory bin full of rice or another dry filler. Then have your kids find the letters to match to their sheets from there. This is a great option if your little one is a fan of sensory play.

Pin text reads, penguin letters preschool free and shows an image of a sensory bin with rice and penguin letters hiding in it. There is a piece of paper reading Lucas and a few penguin letters have been placed under the name to match to the letters in it.

A third way to use this Penguin Letters Preschool Printable, is as a way to help your child learn to recognise the letters in their name. Hide the letters from their name, along with a few extra letters in a sensory bin of rice (or other dry filler) and encourage them to find the letters for their own name and match them up.

Another way to use this printable is to practice spelling simple words with them. You can print off a few copies so you have multiples of the letters and get your kids to spell out different words with their penguin letters.

Lastly, you could use these Penguin Letters Preschool Printables for a Memory Game, matching the pairs of letters. Simply print two copies of the printable and you’re good to go!
