What’s Included in this FREE Printable Bundle?
There are 4 Preschool Winter Printables included in this free bundle. They help your Preschool child, or class of children, work on developmentally appropriate skills for Preschool. I go into more detail about the benefits of each one below.
This first Winter Activities Preschool Worksheet is an opportunity to practice counting items. I have used arctic animals for this activity so it’s easy to tie in with a winter theme.
We have a Polar Bear, Snowy Owl (otherwise known as the Arctic Owl), a Penguin, a Narwhal, an Arctic Hare, and a Seal. This is great if you’re doing an Arctic Animals Unit, or looking at animals that live in Wintery climates.
My second Winter Worksheet focuses on Pre-Writing Skills, and is great for developing fine motor skills and concentration. This worksheet encourages the child to follow the line with their pencil to help the baby arctic animals get back home to their parents!
This is also a great way to begin conversations about how some animals look different to their parents when they are babies. The baby seal and penguin, for example, are different colors to their parents.
Thirdly we have a Winter Activities Worksheet focussing on scissor skills. This is another important skill that our kids begin learning in Preschool, although they often don’t become neat with their cutting for another year or two.
Lastly, we have a fun Winter Maze Activity Sheet with a little Polar Bear needing help to get back home to her Mum and sibling.
Activities like these encourage problem-solving skills, concentration, perseverance, patience, and fine motor skills. It’s amazing how much they can learn from what appears to be just a fun, independent activity sheet.
