A photo of what you need for the craft. There are popsicle sticks, a pom pom, a pipecleaner, felt, scissors and glue.

To Make your Baby Jesus Craft you will need:

  • Strong Glue
  • Scissors
  • 4 Popsicle Sticks
  • Felt
  • A Pom Pom
  • A Pipe cleaner
  • Ribbon (optional – for hanging it on the tree)

Step 1: Make the Popsicle Stick Manger

Step 1

  • Glue 3 of the popsicle sticks into a triangle shape.
  • Leave to dry (you want this to be strong)

Step 2: Attach the 4th Popsicle Stick

Step 2

  • Hold up your popsicle stick triangle, with a long flat stick along the top.
  • Decide which side of this triangle is the back (perhaps the side with writing on the sticks)
  • Glue the 4th Popsicle Stick onto the back of this top popsicle, along the bottom (as shown in the photo). This will create a little ledge for Baby Jesus to lie on.

Step 3: Make Baby Jesus

An image of 4 popsicle sticks glued together into a triangle with one sticking out to make a ledge. The felt is then rolled into a suasage shape with a pom pom sticking out one end. A small amount of pipe cleaner has been bent into a circle to form a halo.

Step 3

  • To make Baby Jesus, I simply rolled up the felt into a baby blanket.
  • Then I stuck the pom pom inside one end, so it was poking out a little (for the baby’s head)
  • Next I cut a piece of yellow pipe cleaner and bent it into a circle. I fitted it around the pom pom to create a little halo for Baby Jesus.

Step 4: Attach Baby Jesus to his Popsicle Stick Manger

Step 4

  • Glue Baby Jesus onto the ledge at the back of his popsicle stick Manger.
  • Hold it on firmly for a minute or two and then leave to dry. (It needs to be well fixed together.)

Step 5: Add the Ribbon

Ribbon is added to baby jesus craft to make it a hanging decoration

Step 5

  • Attach the Ribbon to the Baby Jesus Decoration. I did this by simply threading it through the middle of his blanket.
  • Tie the ribbon into a bow at the top.
