What you Need for your Baby Jesus Popsicle Stick Nativity Craft
To Make your Baby Jesus Craft you will need:
- Strong Glue
- Scissors
- 4 Popsicle Sticks
- Felt
- A Pom Pom
- A Pipe cleaner
- Ribbon (optional – for hanging it on the tree)
Step 1: Make the Popsicle Stick Manger
Step 1
- Glue 3 of the popsicle sticks into a triangle shape.
- Leave to dry (you want this to be strong)
Step 2: Attach the 4th Popsicle Stick
Step 2
- Hold up your popsicle stick triangle, with a long flat stick along the top.
- Decide which side of this triangle is the back (perhaps the side with writing on the sticks)
- Glue the 4th Popsicle Stick onto the back of this top popsicle, along the bottom (as shown in the photo). This will create a little ledge for Baby Jesus to lie on.
Step 3: Make Baby Jesus
Step 3
- To make Baby Jesus, I simply rolled up the felt into a baby blanket.
- Then I stuck the pom pom inside one end, so it was poking out a little (for the baby’s head)
- Next I cut a piece of yellow pipe cleaner and bent it into a circle. I fitted it around the pom pom to create a little halo for Baby Jesus.
Step 4: Attach Baby Jesus to his Popsicle Stick Manger
Step 4
- Glue Baby Jesus onto the ledge at the back of his popsicle stick Manger.
- Hold it on firmly for a minute or two and then leave to dry. (It needs to be well fixed together.)
Step 5: Add the Ribbon
Step 5
- Attach the Ribbon to the Baby Jesus Decoration. I did this by simply threading it through the middle of his blanket.
- Tie the ribbon into a bow at the top.
