How you can use your Pumpkin Number Match Printable

You can use this Fall Number Recognition Printable in a number of different ways to teach your little ones. I love when one printable can be used for a few different activities!

However you choose to use these printables, your kids will learn to recognise numbers, match them, practise their fine motor skills, and begin learning to count.

Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt

Firstly, you could hide your numbers around your home or classroom for your little ones to find. This is a great way to get your kids up and moving about, using up some energy! They’ll also be practising their observation skills, concentration, and attention to detail.

Using these as a Scavenger Hunt activity is such fun! They can go around with their glue stick, matching up the numbers and sticking them on as they went.

Alternatively, you can laminate the shapes and attach little Velcro dots to them so they can be reused over and over.

Sensory Bin

A second way to play, is to hide all your pumpkin numbers in a sensory bin full of leaves, rice, or another dry filler.

Your kids then find and match the numbers from there. This is a great option if your kids are a fan of sensory play. It’s like a game of hide-and-seek but on a smaller scale.

Cutting and Sticking Practice
