Invitations are always the best place to start when planning a party.
Once you have decided when and where you are hosting your party, then it’s time to choose those invitations and get them sent out.
It might also be worth asking if any of your guests have a food allergy or intolerance so you’re not caught out last minute if they show up announcing they’re gluten free or have a serious allergy to nuts!

Easter decorations are next on the list to consider.
How much do you want in terms of decoration? Do you want to go all out with fun decorations, or are you just looking for a simple banner and paper plates?
Do you want to make them yourself, make them with your kids, or buy them?

No kids party is complete without games, but it doesn’t have to take forever to plan them! Here, I have found some of the best Easter games to buy, along with some free game options.

Free Easter Games
An Easter Egg Hunt is of course the main one that comes to mind. I cover that in more detail further down in the entertainment section.
An Easter Egg and Spoon race is always a fun option. You could even get the kids to decorate their egg before the race.

Easter Craft Activities
Not every kid likes games, and, in amongst the busyness and noise of a party, it’s nice to have a quiet area to relax. Crafts are great for this.
There are various Easter craft activities that you can choose from. You could go traditional and decorate hard-boiled eggs, or you could set out coloured card, scissors, glue, pens, stickers and other craft supplies and let the kids make Easter cards.

Easter Entertainment
The next thing on our list is the entertainment.
You can of course hire in some entertainment, like a magician or an Easter Bunny, but you can also do it yourself.
Easter Egg Hunt
An Easter Egg Hunt is probably the main expectation of an Easter Party. Thankfully it doesn’t really take much planning to organise.
Simply grab some Easter eggs from your local store, and hide them before the kids arrive. Then provide some Easter baskets for the kids to collect their eggs in.

The next thing to consider for your party is the food. Here, you can go as big or as small as you’re comfortable.

Easter Party Bags
No little kids party is complete without a fun party bag to take home. Giving out the party bags is also a great way to signal the end of the party, if you’re worn out and the kids are looking like they’re settling in for the night!
Those little temper tantrums over leaving are often soothed with a little bag of treats to take home too.
