How Do You Play Nativity Snap?
Snap is such a fun game! It’s fast-paced but easy to learn. You can play with just 2 players or with more players if you have a few of you.
To begin you need 52 cards, with 4 of each design, so you’ll want to print off 4 copies of my printable.
Shuffle the cards well before dealing out to all players so everyone has an equal number of cards in front of them. Everyone should keep their stack of cards face down and not look at them.
Players take turns to flip over the top card of their deck and place it face-up in the center of the table. The aim of the game is to be first to spot when two identical cards appear in the center of the table. When this happens, the first player to shout “Snap!” and slap their hand on the pile of cards gets to claim the pile of cards in the center and add it to the bottom of their own pile.
If a player calls “Snap!” incorrectly (for example, when there isn’t a match), they must give one card from their deck to the player who placed the last card in the center. That player adds it to their pile.
The game continues until all the cards from the deck are played. Whenever a Snap occurs, the players reset and keep going. The game ends when one player has collected all the cards.
How Do You Play the Nativity Memory Game?
For the Nativity Memory Game you’ll need to print off 2 copies of this printable.
Begin by shuffling the cards well and placing them face down on the table or floor. (You might want to use less pairs of cards if you’re playing with younger children while they learn the game.)
Players take turns to turn over 2 cards. If these cards match they may keep them, if they don’t then they must turn them back over. Then it’s the next players turn.
As the game progresses, players should try to remember the location of the cards that have been flipped over, which will help them find matches on later turns.
The game continues until all pairs have been matched. The player with the most pairs at the end wins.
