What Do You Get in this Bundle?

There are 5 Community Helpers Worksheets included in this free bundle. They help your Preschool child, or class of children, work on developmentally appropriate skills for Preschool. I go into more detail about the benefits of each one below.

This first Community Helpers Preschool Printable focuses on Pre-Writing skills. This one is great for practicing the types of lines, curves, and loops needed for writing. It helps with pencil control and concentration too as they try to stay on the lines.

It encourages the child to follow the lines to match the helper to their place of work. Before they begin this worksheet, you can ask your child if they already know where the helpers work. They can then follow the lines to see if they were correct.

The second Community Helpers Worksheet focuses on Math Skills and Counting objects. This one is all about emergency vehicles and vehicles that do other vital jobs to keep our countries running smoothly.

Our third Community Helpers Worksheet is an opportunity to color in the vehicles of our helpers in the correct colors. This might require looking at a reference book to check we know which colors to use.

Once colored, the child needs then to match the vehicle to the helper. This is a great opportunity not just for matching and learning about community helpers but also to chat about colors. We can wonder why certain colors might be used, and how the colors and specific uniforms and designs on the vehicles help us to identify what service they provide.

The fourth Community Helpers Worksheet, is a small craft. We are making Community Helpers Bookmarks to learn more about Doctors, Fire Fighters, and Police Officers. This is a great opportunity for your kids to practice their scissor skills and overall fine motor skills as they cut and stick the items in boxes onto the right bookmark.

And, lastly we have the Scissor Skills Practice Worksheet. It focuses on the Community Helpers that help us in our schools. We have a Cafeteria Worker, a Cleaner, a Teacher, and a School Nurse.

Learning to use scissors is a great skill to acquire in Preschool and this activity sheet makes it a fun thing to practice. If you want to make this even more of a challenge for them, you could print two copies per page, making it smaller and more intricate to cut.
